Trip To Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area #atlflood

After driving through the city and around the southwest end of the perimeter, I decided to check out the Chattahoochee River flooding after seeing it from the Lester & Virginia Maddox Bridge on I-75 at the Cobb/Fulton line. (Pics #1-3)

The rec area was closed, but I got a few shots.  The access roads down from Cobb Pkwy (Hwy. 41) are washed out, and the flood waters have receded about 25-30 ft in width from their peak.

Pic #4 - Notes my location
Pic #5 - Notice of the Rec area's closing
Pics #6-11 - Show the access road down to the rec area from the southbound lanes of Hwy. 41
